With Energy Performance Contracting (EEC), operators of indoor and combination pools, as well as thermal spas, can reduce their energy and operating costs without making an upfront investment. We analyse your existing facilities and energy situation, develop tailored efficiency measures and invest in their implementation. The investment is repaid over a contract term defined in advance through the savings actually achieved. Your comfort levels — such as air and water temperatures — remain unchanged. You also benefit from additional financial savings when energy prices rise, starting from the beginning of the guarantee period.

Optimization of your existing system with guaranteed results

We support you at every stage: analysis & baseline assessment, action planning (modernisation, optimisation, energy management), financing & guarantees, implementation in existing swimming pools, monitoring & reporting, and service. Our projects demonstrate savings ranging from 18% to 70%, with volumes of € 610.000 to € 37.750.000 and contract terms of 8.6 to 24 years, depending on the existing facilities, operating practices and objectives. Across our ongoing EEC projects, we achieve average energy savings of 50.57%, along with annual reductions of 4,314 t of CO₂ and 382,427 m³ of water (2024 figures).

    We analyse your existing facility and your energy situation, develop tailored efficiency measures and invest in their implementation.

    The investment is refinanced over a predefined contract term through the actual savings achieved.

    This is therefore not an energy contracting model, but rather a model that gives you the opportunity to optimise your existing facility from an energy-technology perspective and thereby reduce consumption.

    Your comfort parameters, such as air and water temperature, remain unchanged.

    You also benefit from additional monetary effects when energy prices rise, starting from the beginning of the guarantee period.

    From the start of the guarantee period

    Energy costs drop immediately. Part of the saving goes to GWT Contracting to refinance the investment, the rest stays with the operator as immediate profit.

    Over the contract term

    If energy prices rise, the saving grows further. This gain benefits the operator in full, already from the start of the guarantee period.

    From the end of the contract

    The full saving goes to the operator. GWT has refinanced itself over the agreed contract term.
